Gramma and Grampa Itri

Sidenote- this is my 100th post! I think that is special or something.

So after a long tax season, Todd's dad (the accountant) had a break to come out to Utah to finally meet baby Lila. We always love it when Todd's parents come to town, surprise to the world they are great in-laws! Since they were finally able to make it out here we did Lila's baby blessing. Although Todd was released from the singles ward earlier this year, we haven't really gotten to know anyone in our new ward because we have mostly been taking turns going to church and staying home with Lila. Plus we are moving next week so the ward we are in now doesn't really feel like our ward. So we asked the bishop of the singles ward if we could bless her there, and he said yes! We were so excited to go back and visit and introduce everyone to our new little baby.

She looked so pretty!

Todd gave her a beautiful blessing. She did so good, crying until the meeting started, sleeping through until the blessing was over, then waking up to be difficult as soon as Todd sat down. And no poop or throw up on the dress even though she wore it for a few hours after church.

As an additional note, it was also special for us to be able to do something so sacred on Easter. While for a short moment I felt a bit guilty that we were taking a day about Christ and essentially making Him share it with our little girl, I later realized that by celebrating our baby and creating a membership record for her in His church, we were honoring everything He did for us. He died and was resurrected so that we could all live together as forever families. Without Him and His sacrifice, our little family would all be for naught. Because I know that Christ atoned for my sins and Todd's and Lila's and whoever else we might bring into this world, I know we can all be cleansed. And because he was resurrected, we will all one day have perfect bodies to dwell with each other in. We just have to make sure that we all make the right choices to achieve eternal life. What a special day.

Most of the rest of the time we just hung out with Todd's whole family (that is in Utah of course) so everyone could be with his parents. We really missed Rob, Stephanie and Reagan who are in Philadelphia with Brian, and Kyle on his mission. And as usual I was a poor picture taker but I did get a few.
